NEWS RELEASE

November 11th, 2025

The Southern Ohio Organized & Major Crimes Task Force announces the ongoing results of a year-long investigation into illegal gambling operations in southern Ohio. The investigation has focused on three establishments: Lucky Dog 7 in South Point, Three Kings in New Boston, and Three Aces in Portsmouth.

To date, the Task Force has built a case for Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, which has been presented to the Scioto County Grand Jury for review. The investigation remains ongoing.

Over the course of this operation, agents have seized more than $200,000 in U.S. currency and over 100 slot machines used in the operation of illegal gambling. The investigation began after community members came forward with complaints, leading Task Force agents to identify and dismantle multiple locations involved in organized criminal activity.

The Director of the Task Force stated, “This case is a clear example of what can be accomplished when citizens speak up and law enforcement agencies work together. The success of this investigation so far is due to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of everyone involved.”

The Southern Ohio Organized & Major Crimes Task Force extends appreciation to:

  • Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman

  • Portsmouth Police Chief Debbie Brewer

  • New Boston Police Chief Chris Dixon

  • Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless

  • Scioto County Prosecutor Shane Tieman

  • Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission (OOCIC)

A special thanks is also extended to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction for the use of their Special Response Team (SOCF) and STAR teams, whose assistance and professionalism were instrumental in this investigation.

The Task Force remains committed to investigating and dismantling illegal enterprises that threaten the safety and integrity of our communities across southern Ohio.

This task force is under the umbrella of the Ohio Attorney General's Organized Crime Investigation Commission. AG Dave Yost provided his appreciation and support for the team members.

"Illegal operations can happen in plain sight, but thanks to our skilled task force members, we were able to thwart the illegal activity and prevent further corruption in our communities."

I played around with PromoSoundGroup just to see if a little boost would show up on my TikTok videos. The increase in views was slow and natural, nothing sudden. I liked that it didn’t create weird activity or make me worry about rules. It’s interesting how small, almost invisible changes can shift engagement over time. The interface is straightforward, and the process doesn’t feel pushy. For someone curious about patterns rather than numbers, it was actually kind of fun to watch.
