Sheriff’s Office Investigating Murder on Millers Run Fallen Timber Rd

Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman states that his 911 communication center received a 9-1-1 call on Monday, September 1st, 2025 at 9:40 pm. The caller stated that he had stopped by the residence to check on his friend and had found his friend unresponsive, and possibly deceased.

Sheriff Thoroughman stated that deputies were dispatched along with detectives and emergency medical squads.  On deputy’s arrival and investigation, it was determined that the death had been a homicide. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the State Fire Marshal’s Office were contacted and are assisting in the investigation.

Sheriff Thoroughman stated that the male victim has been identified as Rocky L. Jordan, age 59. Sheriff David Thoroughman stated that this is still an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information should contact Detective Sergeant Jodi Conkel @ 740-354-7338.
