Southern Ohio Organized & Major Crimes Task Force Investigation Leads to Arrestand Seizure of Drugs, Firearms, and Cash

Ohio Attorney General David Yost, Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman, Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer, New Boston Police Chief Carl Compton, Scioto County Prosecuting Attorney Shane Tieman, Pike County Sheriff Tracy Evans, Pike County Prosecuting Attorney Michael A. Davis, and Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless announce a major drug-related investigation conducted by the Southern Ohio Organized & Major Crimes Task Force.
Sheriff Thoroughman states that On May 8, 2025, agents with the Task Force responded to 1146 Sunset Street, Portsmouth, Ohio, after being contacted by court officers who were attempting to serve an eviction notice. Upon arrival and during a search of the residence, agents discovered a significant quantity of illegal drugs, multiple firearms, and a large sum of U.S. currency.
Corey Pulling was arrested at the scene on an outstanding warrant and transported to the Scioto County Jail. The case will be presented to the Scioto County Grand Jury for potential additional charges related to drug trafficking and weapons violations.
Sheriff Thorougman states, "This arrest and seizure represent the continued commitment of the Task Force to aggressively target those bringing drugs and violence into our communities."
